#BigThingsIn2016

2016 will be a BIG year for sneakers. Id put money on that. In today's culture many kids, and even adults, use sneakers to show their status. What shoes you have on will be a BIG deal. Under amour will be making moves. With them having Stephen Curry, they will be looking to sign more athletes/artist. Puma in 2015 signed rapper Meek Mill and singer Rihanna, who gave the Puma website much needed buzz. I think they wont have as big of a year like under amour or Nike but they are starting to make noise. Nike will of course follow up their 2015 with huge sales. Jordans will continue to make HUGE sales and with Kobe Bryant retiring I KNOW, the sales for his shoes are going to go up. Adidas may make waves, im not sure yet. With having Kanye, it might make them shaky. Hes very reckless with his words and actions, so the negative responses may hurt his sneaker sales. But trust me, the color ways this year for all the brands will be ridiculous.

Best sneakers of 2015 according to Complex news

http://www.complex.com/sneakers/best-sneakers-of-2015/

Above I left the link to the complex article, I know complex isnt the most reliable source but I like to read their articles. I read the list and to my surprise I had some of the best sneakers of 2015. There were a couple i wanted, like the maroon 6s. But I spent the money and never got it back. Im a simple person, Im not too flashy with what I wear. But I think some could be taken off others could have been added. Look through the list and tell me what you think.

LeBron James + Nike for Lyfe

I'm going to make this short. I'm not a fan of LeBron James. I don't like the way he plays or conducts himself off the court. BUT his shoes are a different story. Since James has signed with Nike, wayyy before he even started playing professionally, I knew he would make a lot of money. His sneakers are different. What I like is that not every pair is the same. Like when Jordan's are re-released you can pretty much guess what they are going to look like. LeBron's are different. NO color scheme is ever repeated. (correct me if I am wrong but I doubt I am). My favorite are the "What The" LeBron's.
Look how bold the pattern is. Not everyone can pull those off. But with Jordan's anyone can do it, some people just do a better job. But seriously the Lifetime contract James has with Nike is estimated to be worth more than 500 million. I think he real winner here might be Nike. If LeBron leaves a legacy that is anything like Micheal Jordan left he will be making a lot of money. But with Nike having not only LeBron, but Jordan, Durant (don't get me started on KDs), Irving, and Kobe just to name a few well known BASKETBALL players. Nike will never have to worry about not being popular. As for LeBron, he could break his ankle tomorrow and will still be making money. Life is crazy. Makes me wish I was good at basketball or something. Let me know who you think got the better end of the deal, LeBron or Nike.

Wheat 1s

During the break I got another pair of sneakers. I had seen these MONTHS ago and I knew I needed them. The Wheat 1s are covered with suede from to bottom and have a gum sole. These are my most ¨unique¨ sneakers in my collection. All of my sneakers are ones that a lot of other people have or wanted. When it came to the wheat I wanted them because I needed them. Like I feel like everyone has a pair of shoes that they cant wear all the time because they don't go with a lot of stuff. That's how I'd describe these. I have worn them twice since i got them with really simple things.Mostly all black. The only thing I don't really like about the suede is that i cant wear them when it rains. I don't want them to get ruined too bad. In the picture you cant really see it but they look like Timberland boot sneakers. Its weird. But honestly I wouldn't recommend these for everyone. If you have a very unique style or you're looking to expand your taste these are for you.

VILLA • Join The Movement

The other day I was introduced to a new sneaker website. I'm not a huge fan of ordering things off line. The last pair of shoes I ordered were a pair of pumas, they were a gift but I was satisfied with my purchase. My 18th birthday is coming up and my plan was originally was to take a visit to the Flight club in NY. Everyday I would check their website to see what they had to offer, (http://www.flightclub.com/). The thing about flight club that I didn't like was that they were so expensive. You needed to have serious money to get some of their shoes. It wasn't even like you was getting an exclusive pair of sneakers. They just offered older releases that weren't in stores anymore.

What I liked about Villa (https://www.ruvilla.com/) was that I was paying the same amount as if I got the sneakers the weekend they were released. For example, The Sweater 7s I showed you last week, I paid $140, I wear a 5.5 in boys that's why they're so cheap, for them in stores. I got them the Sunday after they released but regardless I got them. Now if I wanted to order them from flight club, I would be giving up an extra $40, not including shipping and handling. Also both stores have more to offer than just Jordan which is a bonus for people who don't like them.

When it comes to locations Villa has more to offer. Flight club has a location in New York and California. Villa has locations in New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois and Texas. I personally want to visit both but I think I'm going to try Villa first. Check out the links let me know what you think, also if you've ever visited either store I want to hear about your experience.

Copped a new pair of kicks

Not the greatest photo but it'll do. This past weekend I got the "Sweater 7s" or "Nothing But Net". The idea came from Micheal Jordans sweater he had on during a commercial he shot with Larry Bird. https://youtu.be/1shK-j_u6LI

There have been mixed feelings about these ones. The reason I got these was for the simple fact that I love the pattern. The colors fit together so well with each other as well as the structure of the 7s. But my favorite thing is the fact that its not just one solid color so it limits my chances of wearing them as often. Keeping them nice and white.

If you didn't get these this weekend and you want something new then I would recommend these. You could go with a shirt/sweater that fits the pattern or and all black on and have the color pop with your kicks. It's up to you though.

You're Welcome. G
